The 9-11 Memorial Healing Field hosted by the Tempe Exchange Club
Sept 9th to Sept 11th 2016
The 9-11 Memorial Healing Field is a program run by the Exchange Clubs of the Valley of the Sun held annually at Tempe Beach Park to remember and honor those who were killed in one of the worst terrorist attacks in our country. We honor those first responders who ran into the Twin Towers to help. We honor citizens who stepped up and become true heroes and gave their lives to protect many others.
Remembrance ceremonies will begin at 5:40 am and 6:30pm on September 11th. Police cars and fire engines from all over Arizona will be placed around the healing field with blue and red lights on to honor our first responders. Police and Fire Honor guards are also encouraged to participate in both the morning and evening ceremonies on September 11th. Agencies are asked to contact Arizonaleos@cox.net or Craig Fernandez from Rally Point Alpha to confirm their attendance.
It is the largest and longest running healing field in the Southwest with almost 3000 full size American flags. It is a day that should always be remembered as a day terrorists tried to alter the psyche of a nation with fear. A day we never should forget.
We hope you will attend the event Sept 9-11th or volunteer throughout the event to set up or take down flags or serve in the hospitality booth.
